Yamaha RX‑Z7 7.1Channel AV Receiver

The Yamaha RX-Z7 is a high-performance 7.1-channel AV receiver designed to provide powerful surround sound and advanced audio-video processing for home theater systems. Built as part of Yamaha’s flagship Z-series receivers, it combines high-current amplification, advanced digital processing, and extensive connectivity options to deliver a premium entertainment experience.

The receiver provides 140 watts per channel (20 Hz–20 kHz, 8 ohms, 0.04% THD) across seven channels, delivering a total system power capability of approximately 980 watts for dynamic and immersive surround sound performance.

For high-definition audio playback, the RX-Z7 supports advanced surround formats including Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD Master Audio, and DTS-HD High Resolution Audio, enabling lossless playback of Blu-ray movie soundtracks. Yamaha’s proprietary Cinema DSP 3D sound processing offers multiple sound-field programs designed to recreate the acoustics of real performance venues and theaters for a more immersive listening environment.

The RX-Z7 incorporates 192 kHz / 24-bit Burr-Brown digital-to-analog converters for all channels, ensuring high-resolution audio reproduction with excellent clarity and detail. Yamaha’s Digital ToP-ART (Total Purity Audio Reproduction Technology) and high-current amplification design further enhance signal accuracy and reduce distortion.

For system optimization, the receiver features YPAO (Yamaha Parametric Acoustic Optimizer) multi-point automatic calibration, which measures room acoustics and adjusts speaker settings to achieve balanced sound across the listening area.

In terms of connectivity, the RX-Z7 includes five HDMI inputs and two HDMI outputs, supporting 1080p video, Deep Color, and x.v.Color video signals. It also provides network connectivity for streaming audio from DLNA-compatible devices, internet radio playback, and USB support for portable music sources.

Additional features include Pure Direct mode for high-fidelity audio playback, multi-zone audio support, assignable amplifiers for bi-amping or presence speakers, and advanced video processing for enhanced picture quality.
